Quartz Worktop Warranty
20-Year Product Warranty
Picasso Surfaces provides a 20-year product warranty on quartz worktops from the date of invoice.
This warranty applies to quartz materials supplied by Picasso Surfaces and covers both domestic and commercial use, subject to the terms below.
The warranty covers the quartz product only. It does not cover installation, fitting, templating, workmanship or any third-party labour.
What the Warranty Covers
The Picasso Surfaces 20-year product warranty covers manufacturing defects in the quartz material under normal use.
This may include defects in the slab material that affect the structural integrity or performance of the quartz surface.
Where a valid manufacturing defect is confirmed, Picasso Surfaces will, at its discretion, arrange for the affected material to be repaired, replaced or otherwise resolved where appropriate.
What the Warranty Does Not Cover
This warranty does not cover installation or workmanship issues.
The warranty does not cover:
- Installation, fitting, templating or labour costs
- Damage caused during or after installation
- Chips, cracks or scratches caused by impact, misuse or accidental damage
- Heat damage, thermal shock or scorch marks
- Staining caused by harsh chemicals, dyes, oils, inks or unsuitable products
- Damage caused by abrasive cleaners, scouring pads or corrosive substances
- Damage caused by excessive weight, standing or sitting on the worktop
- Damage caused by incorrect care or maintenance
- Natural variations in colour, pattern, tone or veining
- The appearance of joins, seams or joints
- Damage caused by movement in cabinets, walls, floors or buildings
- Damage caused by plumbing, electrical work, appliances or third-party trades
- Material that has been moved, altered, modified, cut or repaired by a third party
- General wear and tear
Quartz is a hard-wearing surface, but it is not indestructible. Correct care is essential to maintain the appearance and performance of your worktop.
Commercial Use
This warranty applies to quartz materials used in both residential and commercial settings.
In commercial environments, the quartz must be used for its intended purpose and maintained correctly. Damage caused by heavy misuse, excessive impact, inappropriate use or poor maintenance is not covered.
Care & Maintenance Requirement
To keep your warranty valid, your quartz surface must be cared for in line with Picasso Surfaces’ care and maintenance guidance.
Always use chopping boards when preparing food and trivets or heat mats for hot pans, trays and heated appliances. Clean spills promptly and avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive pads and unsuitable cleaning products.
Proof of Purchase
Your invoice from your work surface fabricator is your proof of purchased and warranty.
No separate warranty registration is required. Please keep your invoice in a safe place, as it will be needed if you make a claim.
The 20-year warranty period begins from the invoice date.
Making a Warranty Claim
If you believe your quartz surface has developed a manufacturing defect, please contact Picasso Surfaces as soon as possible.
You may be asked to provide:
- Your name and contact details
- Fabrication Invoice
Installation address or project location - Date of invoice
- Photographs of the issue
- A description of the problem
Picasso Surfaces may need to inspect the material before confirming whether the issue is covered under warranty.
